On the street...Avant-Garde

   

 This photo really ceases to capture the extensive detail of the construction and tailoring of the garments;  they resemble individual pieces of art. The elusive contours and details of the skirt, the distinct cuffs of the silk blouse, the contrasting boots and the raw steel frames pertain more to notions of architecture, sculpture and other semblances to visual art in which one appreciates solely the visual and intellectual content, as opposed the overused term of “fashion”.

On the street...Black silhouette

I have always, almost innately, been drawn to all-black looks, both personally as well as in moments when I’m on the street. It can be executed simplistically, if abiding by conventional silhouettes and proportions. Thus, it can be quite restricted. Albeit, I think the key differentiation between the archetypical black look and that of an innovative, distinctive one is the execution of silhouette, proportions, prints and material.  In the above case, it’s the proportions; the oversized sleeveless jacket adds an individual touch. That and the shoes are great too.  

On the street...Bohemian nature

There are no references to trends in this girl’s look; she simply exudes a personal, raw quality. I was drawn to her instantly, albeit I was hesitant to photograph her. In the end, I am so pleased I did.
